Blue needs attention!

Blue at State Fair

We bought Blue's sister and after a phone call Blue was also in the trailer when it got to our house.

He is the one that taught us how to drive. (The first time we hitched him up it took us over two hours - and we still did it wrong)

Now as an elder member of the family he tells us what he needs, when he wants to be fed, when he needs out of his pen, when he want to go back to bed and where!

What a special friend!

Two more of our friends are the buck boys. They came from Colorado. At one point their job was to feed the cattle. They hauled a huge hay wagon out into the fields with a coyboy standing on top. They trotted around the field until the wagon was empty then back to the barn they would go..

When I first started diving them there was not much stearing or stopping. No walking or cantering either. Just a good steady trot and it didn't matter if you were going up hill or down.

Bud

Bud having a lesson

Bud is one of our home grown here in Santa Fe. He is in training so that his father can retire.

The Perfect Horse for the Beginner

If you are looking for the perfect beginner horse the gelding is for you. They are steady and their personality remains the same all the time. Both Mares and Stallions change according to the time of the month and the different seasons.
